Background[]
The long-running television series South Park is an American comedy based in the fictional town of the same name in Colorado. It follows the lives of the foul-mouthed grade school children of Eric Cartman (fat and stupid), Kenny McCormick (comes from a poor family, always wears a hoodie and his voice is muffled when he speaks), Kyle Broflovski (known for his intelligence and his family being Jewish, which Cartman usually baits him for) and Stan Marsh (noted for his musical talent, although he would also develop a lengthy criminal record over the years), along with their parents and many other characters. The show debuted in 1997 and is slated to run until possibly 2022, along with the theatrical film of Bigger, Longer and Uncut being released in 1999.
In the fourth episode of the eighth season, "You Got F'd in the A", the town's game room, Flynn's Sinistar Arcade, is briefly shown.
The episode (synopsis)[]
The kids are playing with radio controlled cars when a different group of kids approaches them, showing off their dance moves and claiming the South Park kids were "served" for not dancing back. Crestfallen, the South Park gang goes over to their school cafeteria worker Chef's house, who consoles them and calls their parents.
At the dinner table that night, Stan's father berates him for not dancing back, teaching him some moves. When challenged by the other children later (who come from their rival Orange County), Stan dances back, but unfortunately that causes the Orange County children to challenge them to a dance-off competition.
Stan tries to recruit four other kids to dance with him, but he only could find three and a chicken. He also tried to approach local dance champion Butters Stotch but he was too traumatized to perform ever again. However, during the dance-off the chicken became injured and couldn't dance, which Scotch arrived to dance and help win the competition.

Trivia[]
- The arcade scene was due to one of the dancers hanging out there that Stan would recruit.
- The majority of the graphics that make up a South Park episode, in general, looks like a bunch of construction paper cut-outs. However, occasionally real photos and video clips have appeared over the years, such as a photo of ex-Iraqi president Saddam Hussein's head making up the usual paper cut-out body. In this episode a Mortal Kombat-like game's graphics appears briefly during the arcade scene at one point.
- Junkie Hunt might be a nod/play on words of the real life video game of Jungle Hunt, although due to the politically incorrect, along with occasionally violent nature of the show at times, this could just be a rather ghastly game in the South Park universe. Dancin' Dancin' Dancin' Machine! is obviously based on the real-life game of Dance Dance Revolution.
