Trivia[]

  • The arcade originally had two levels, which, depending on certain circumstances (perhaps with how the local Houston economy was performing), would sometimes cause the second level to be closed off. Both levels were open during 1987, although the second level was closed at some point during 2003 or so. As of 2014, on the official Fun*Plex web site, it stated that the arcade area had been renovated, although it is currently unknown of how it is different from the previous years.
  • Various specials are given for the arcade (as of 2014, the official web site stated that for $40 [U. S.], the purchaser would receive a $5 bonus, $50 would earn a $10 bonus, etc.), and Thursdays offered “double value for your money in the arcade up to $30.00".
  • The Fun*Plex also had several outdoor water slides and the like, although as of 2014, these were not mentioned on the official web site. It is assumed these were closed down at some point, as they were operational from the late 1980s until the early 2000s.
